The Sooners head out for their first road trip Saturday as they take on Minnesota in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but their first game outside of Norman will be about more than just basketball.
The game is presented by Coaches vs. Cancer, a collaboration of the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger is a long time supporter of Coaches vs. Cancer and currently serves as the chair of the organization’s council.
Senior Kristian Doolittle and his teammates know the significance of Saturday’s game beyond basketball.
“I was on Twitter today and I saw Coach Krug’s video,” Doolittle said.
