NORMAN — Oklahoma is bringing students closer to the action.
Changes are being made to the student section at the Lloyd Noble Center, the Sooners announced Thursday.
Portions of the concrete wall on the north side of the stadium have been removed and are being replaced with stairs for students to have easier access to floor seating. There will also be more floor seating as the band is being moved into section LN4.
Renovations have also been made to the student entrance to create a "hype tunnel" atmosphere as students come in to the LNC.
These changes are part of a number of steps Lon Kruger and the basketball program have take to attract more students to games.
