Things stopped going Manek’s way late in the game. With about 4:30 left, Freddie Gillespie — who Manek had contained for most of the game — slipped around the big Sooner to grab a rebound and turn it into a dunk.
It was far from the first time the Sooners were beaten on the glass Monday. Oklahoma lost the rebounding battle 46-36, giving Baylor plenty of second chances.
Manek hit a 3-point shot with less than a minute left to put the Sooners within two points, but OU failed to complete the comeback.
Oklahoma plays Mississippi State on Saturday at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
