NORMAN — The transfer portal has been flowing both ways for OU in recent weeks, and the Sooners could see the benefits of the transfers coming in quicker than they were expecting.
Even though guard Jamal Bienimey and center Corbin Merritt entered the portal recently — Merritt already officially left OU for Austin Peay State University — the Sooners have grabbed a pair of guards out of the portal. Umoja Gibson and Elijah Harkless announced their decisions to transfer to OU this last week.
“Both Mo and Elijah are outstanding young men,” OU coach Lon Kruger said in a statement.
