NORMAN — During preseason camp, Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson had an inflatable mattress in the running backs room in the Switzer Center.
“It wasn't all sleeping,” running backs coach Jay Boulware said before the season began. “There was movies going on. It was just another reason for him to be up here. It was good stuff.”
With Anderson out for the season following a knee injury suffered on the final play of the first quarter in Saturday's 49-21 win over UCLA, another difference Boulware noticed in Anderson might prove to be bigger for the Sooners.
Almost every time Boulware spotted Anderson in the lead-up to the season, there was sophomore running back Trey Sermon.
