As the Sooners’ season came to an end in the Peach Bowl, the Spencer Rattler era at Oklahoma began.
The freshman quarterback went into the game for Oklahoma with about 3:51 left on the clock, replacing senior quarterback Jalen Hurts. Rattler’s appearance in the Sooners’ last drive of the game gave fans a glimpse of the future.
Rattler didn’t know he was going to go in the game, but he tried to make the best of the opportunity.
"You always want to make plays when you're playing in a game, so of course I was trying to make some plays,” Rattler said.
