OU football: Sooners pick up four star DE commit David Ugwoegbu

Oklahoma picked up a commitment Thursday night from four-star defensive lineman David Ugwoegbu of Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas.

Ogwoegbu (6-foot-5, 225 pounds) picked the Sooners over Texas A&M.

He’s the 24th commitment of the 2019 class for the Sooners and the first since the December signing period.

Ogwoegbu is likely to play defensive end at Oklahoma. The position was one the Sooners focused heavily on for this class. Ogwoegbu is the sixth defensive end in the class for OU.
