Just two days after Oklahoma’s best defensive player Ronnie Perkins announced he would be heading to the NFL, a key piece to the defense is now officially coming back for 2021.
Linebacker Nik Bonitto announced via Twitter on Monday that he will be returning next season to get one more crack at a national title.
Bonitto was one of the best players on a vastly improved Sooners defense in 2020 and his return means a lot of production will be coming back with him. In ten games last season, he racked up 11.5 tackles for loss including nine sacks.
