The Sooners will have to wait a little longer to make the trip to Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y.
OU's game at Army, set for Sept. 26, was canceled Tuesday less than a day after the Big 12 Conference decided to go to a nine-game league schedule with one non-conference game that is only allowed to be hosted by the Big 12 team.
"We are disappointed to lose Oklahoma from our schedule this season, however we respect the Big 12's difficult decision," Army Director of Athletics Mike Buddie said.
"I am saddened for our players, coaches, alumni and fans to miss out on what has been such a highly anticipated contest since it was first announced.
