For much of the week, the focus on the Baylor game as it related to the Sooners was which coaches would be unavailable for the game.
Bob Stoops even filled in for assistants who were being held out either for positive COVID-19 tests or contact tracing reasons.
It appeared assistant head coach and tight ends/h-backs coach Shane Beamer was the only assistant who was not at the game.
Beamer might’ve coached his last game with the Sooners.
In the final minutes of regulation in the Sooners' 27-14 win against Baylor late Saturday, The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman reported that Beamer was expected to be named the next head coach at South Carolina.
