ARLINGTON, Texas — There was a surprise appearance at the start of the Big 12 Championship game.
The Sooner Schooner ran out of the tunnel with Oklahoma just before kickoff. The schooner went diagonally across the entire field, exiting into the tunnel on the west side of the field. It didn't make any turns on its route, but the schooner was able to move at a decent pace.
The university is currently seeking bids to build a new Sooner Schooner, after the current one was damaged in a crash during Oklahoma's game against West Virginia.
