OU football: Sooner Schooner crashes during West Virginia game

NORMAN — Oklahoma's Sooner Schooner flipped on its side in the second quarter of OU's game against West Virginia.

The Sooner Schooner makes a celebratory loop after every OU score. After the Sooners went up 28-7, it crashed to the turf as it made a left turn. A RUF/NEK and a Lil' Sis — members of student spirit groups — were slammed against the ground.

OU associate athletic director Kenny Mossman said the students were OK, but that an OU camera man was being checked by medical staff.

OU cheerleaders came onto the field to repair the grass where wheel marks had dug in.
