NORMAN — It sounds like Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley will be asked about Lee Morris’ scholarship situation until Morris gets put on scholarship. And rightly so.
“I can't believe I didn't get asked this sooner,” Riley said near the end of his Monday press conference.
The walk-on junior tight end had a two-play highlight reel last Saturday that some couldn’t compile over the course of a season. Morris did it in two minutes.
First came his blocked punt that resulted in a Sooners score. Then Morris turned a contested 10-yard catch into a 65-yard tackle-breaking touchdown, tight roping the sidelines for the final yards.
