NORMAN — OU defensive end Ronnie Perkins became one of the top defenders in college football in 2020 after returning from a suspension.
Now, Perkins is heading to the NFL.
The junior from St. Louis made the announcement Saturday afternoon.
"Now it's time to chase my dreams," Perkins wrote, in part, on Twitter.
Perkins missed the first five games of the season due to what sources have said was a positive test for marijuana.
But he made an impact immediately upon his return, Oct. 31 at Texas Tech.
On his first play, he chased down Texas Tech running back SaRodorick Thompson and forced him out of bounds, preventing a touchdown.
