NORMAN — Something’s going on with Oklahoma’s special teams. Last week came a blocked punt for a touchdown. Saturday the Sooners notched an 86-yard kickoff return and a 66-yard punt return.
OU’s special teams have evolved from an afterthought in recent years to must-see TV through two games in 2018.
Tre Brown’s 86-yard kickoff return in the first quarter was OU’s longest non-scoring play in stadium history.
“Everything’s really a blur to me when I’m running the ball,” Brown said. “Seeing that hole open up, I was like, ‘Wow, I’m in front of the kicker. What do I do?
