Baker Mayfield has gone from villain to hero, at least in some parts of Ohio.
"Hey bud, bet they forgive you for the flag planting now,"OU coach Lincoln Riley tweeted Thursday night after Mayfield led the Browns to their first win since December 2016.
Any beef Ohio State fans still have with Mayfield's notorious flag planting last season after Oklahoma's 31-16 win at The Horseshoe has surely been forgiven — at least for Buckeye fans who double as Cleveland Browns fans.
"He always keeps one joke in the chamber," Mayfield said of Riley on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.
