NORMAN — Carries have been spread evenly in Oklahoma's backfield, and soon another running back will join the rotation.
Sophomore T.J. Pledger is nearing a return after undergoing surgery on his hand in the first week of the season.
"It’s a little open-ended right now, kind of a week-to-week deal," coach Lincoln Riley said Monday of Pledger's timeline. "Excited to see how he progresses through the bye week. I would say Texas Tech is maybe a long shot, but I think we’re getting pretty close with him."
The Sooners are off this weekend.
