OU football journal: Kyler Murray overcomes pair of turnovers in Sooner win

Kyler Murray's performance at West Virginia could have easily been defined by a pair of drive-killing turnovers.

But the Sooners won 59-56 on a night of no defense, thus keeping Oklahoma's postseason aspirations alive, as well as Murray's Heisman hopes.

In a trade-off of touchdowns with Mountaineer quarterback Will Grier, Murray threw for 364 yards and three scores. He completed 20 of 27 passes with one interception.

The pick came in the end zone on OU's opening drive of the second half following a 43-yard kick return by Tre Brown.
