Freshman LB Ugwoegbu making strides
Oklahoma freshman rush linebacker David Ugwoegbu has played in the first two games, with three tackles, including one for a loss. New defensive coordinator Alex Grinch says he’s “very pleased” with Ugwoegbu’s development.
“You see size, you see speed, you see athleticism,” Grinch said of Ugwoegbu. “He’s picked it up extremely well and there’s a lot. Anytime you get into the front, especially against our offense on a day-to-day basis, all the little things you’ve got to see and react to — it’s not as if you just get on the edge and just come off the edge.
