Legendary Oklahoma running back Joe Washington will have a book signing Saturday just before the Sooners take on Texas Tech.
Washington will sign copies of his new book The Seven Secrets of the Silver Shoes, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the University of Oklahoma bookstore just in front of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
The book idea evolved from Washington's idea for a coffee table book featuring photos of him and other athletes and a publisher's idea of a biography.
"Too many people have to leave town or die before I can do that," Washington joked.
