OU football: Jalen Hurts third in Heisman race

Jalen Hurts has the third-best Heisman Trophy odds at the halfway point of the season.

The Oklahoma quarterback is 9/2 to win the award, according to BetOnline. Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is the favorite at 4/7.

Hurts ranks 10th nationally with 293 passing yards per game and 14th nationally with 105 rushing yards per game. He's thrown 17 touchdown passes and three interceptions. He's rushed for eight touchdowns.

Hurts could become the third consecutive Heisman Trophy winner from OU, following fellow transfers Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray.
