FORT WORTH, Texas — For the first time since its season opener, OU didn't have to sweat down to the wire, beating TCU 33-14 on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

1. Mims the word
Marvin Mims has had a big start to his freshman year for the Sooners and continued that against TCU.
But only two of those catches, for 12 yards, have come after halftime and none have come in the fourth quarter.
Mims had four catches for a career-high 132 yards and two touchdowns.
