NORMAN — As Oklahoma's defense continues to struggle, several players and coaches have indicated in recent weeks that the defense is "close."
Close to improving. Close to fixing tackling and coverage problems that have plagued the Sooners all season long.
But linebacker Curtis Bolton didn't shy from reality on Monday when he was asked how much more the defense can improve as the calendar approaches December.
"It's tough to answer that question," Bolton said. "I can't promise anything."
Oklahoma, fresh off allowing 40 points to Kansas, is preparing for a Friday night showdown at West Virginia.
