The best surprise return
The most surprising performance for Oklahoma on Saturday may not have come from one of its players.
The Sooner Schooner, which wasn’t supposed to run again after crashing earlier in the season, ran across the field at AT&T Stadium before the Big 12 Championship game. The schooner didn’t make any turns, but it did move across the field.
After its run, the schooner stayed in a corner of the end zone for the rest of the game, as it had during other Oklahoma home games this season.
