NORMAN — Oklahoma men's basketball coach Lon Kruger has been recruiting Trae Young almost as long as Kruger has been in Norman.
A day after Young officially signed with the Sooners, Kruger spoke publicly for the first time since adding the five-star point guard from Norman North.
“It's a huge signing given that he's a local guy, and I think it says a lot about Trae and his family that they wanted to be here, they want to have an impact on their community, on the university, on the state of Oklahoma.”
Young was one of three signees in the class for the Sooners.
