OU basketball: Kansas State deals Sooners first home loss of season

NORMAN — Oklahoma couldn’t contain Kansas State’s two-man game.

Wildcat seniors Barry Brown Jr. and Dean Wade combined for 45 points as Kansas State dealt No. 20 Oklahoma its first home loss of the season, a 74-61 result Wednesday night at Lloyd Noble Center.

It was a lackadaisical performance throughout for the Sooners (13-4, 2-3 Big 12).

Oklahoma turned the ball over 16 times, which led to 18 Kansas State points. The Sooners shot just 12 of 23 from the free throw line.

Rashard Odomes scored a season-high 17 points for the Sooners. He made 8 of 10 buckets, all of them coming at the rim.
