OU baseball: Dane Acker throws Sooners' first no-hitter since 1989

OU's Tyler Hardman squeezed his glove and pumped his fist, setting off a celebration Sunday afternoon at Houston's Minute Maid Park.

Dane Acker threw the Sooners' first solo no-hitter in more than 30 years in a 1-0 win over LSU in the Shriner's College Classic.

Acker was dominant, striking out 11 and walking one, allowing just four base runners.

The junior right-hander, who transferred to OU from San Jacinto College in the offseason, was mobbed by his teammates after getting Alex Milazzo to ground out to end the game.

Acker needed to be close to perfect Sunday, as AJ Labas was excellent on the other side.
