STILLWATER — Burns Hargis looked upon smiling faces in a sea of black robes and orange tassels last spring from the stage inside Gallagher-Iba Arena as members of what was once the largest freshmen class in Oklahoma State history received diplomas.
The university president who earned his own OSU bachelor's degree back in 1967 offered the same advice he's given every graduating class: “Be sure to go by and listen to those bells on that tower … and always remember what that's meant to you.”
