Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray was named the 2018 Manning Award winner as the nation’s top quarterback.
Murray is the second consecutive Sooners quarterback to win the award, which also takes into consideration postseason play.
The award is Murray’s fifth postseason award, adding to a group that includes the Heisman Trophy, Davey O’Brien Quarterback of the Year Award, Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award and Associated Player of the Year award.
The award is voted on by a panel of national and local media as well as the Manning family.
"Week-in and week-out, Kyler Murray made highlight-reel plays for one of the best teams in the country," Archie Manning said in a release.
