NORMAN — There is no easing into conference play for the Oklahoma women's basketball team this upcoming season.
The Sooners begin Big 12 play at home against Baylor on Jan. 4. The Lady Bears are the defending national champions and have won nine consecutive conference titles in the regular season.
After opening against Baylor, the Sooners travel to Stillwater for the season's first edition of Bedlam on Jan. 8 before returning home to host Iowa State on Jan. 11.
The second Bedlam meeting is Feb. 11 in Norman.
Oklahoma is coming off an 8-22 season, going just 4-14 in conference play and missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1999.
