The Oklahoma Sooners' 4-0 start not only has them climbing up national rankings, but also recruiting rankings.
Although still extremely early in the process, based on the 247Sports Composite, the Sooners have the No. 1 2027 recruiting class in the country after landing four-star cornerback Mikhail McCreary on Monday morning. That fifth addition to the class catapulted OU over Penn State and Miami from the No. 3 spot.
Sooners have No. 1 recruiting class after hot start
The Sooners had assembled a rather lackluster 2026 class, at least based on recruiting ratings. That 2026 group is still outside the top 20 in the 247Sports Composite team rankings, but OU's hot start to the season could soon benefit that class, too, because winning seems to solve all problems.
