The Oklahoma Sooners' chances at making the College Football Playoff were cut in more than half after losing to Ole Miss 34-26 on Saturday in Norman and dropping to 6-2. According to ESPN's College Football Power Index, the Sooners have a 19.6% chance of making the CFP heading into Week 10. They had a 42.9% chance last week, which was the 11th-best at the time.
The Sooners travel to Tennessee on Saturday. The Volunteers are one of seven SEC teams with better playoff chances than the Sooners, so a win there would catapult OU again, but a third loss could put its playoff odds at almost zero.
