Following his Jan. 17 commitment, the Oklahoma Sooners have officially signed four-star edge rusher David Ugwoegbu. The Katy, Texas product was the first defensive player to commit to OU following the hiring of defensive coordinator Alex Grinch, and he made it official on Wednesday with a signed National Letter of Intent.
At 6’5” and around 225 lbs., Ugwoegbu is a physically imposing pass rusher who will be big enough to put his hand in the ground at the next level if need be. It came down to Oklahoma and Texas A&M for the Seven Lakes standout, and ultimately he chose the Sooners over the Aggies.
