During a Wednesday appearance on WWLS, Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione announced that the Oklahoma Sooners’ 2020 Spring Game will not be played on its scheduled date. This comes in the wake of event cancellations and postponements brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
After Castiglione broke the news during his conversation with Berry Tramel, WWLS producer Matt Ravis took to Twitter to bring the announcement to light.
OU, of course, had already suspended all athletics competitions, out-of-season practices and workouts until further notice, so this move obviously doesn’t come as a surprise. Still, this is understandably tough for the fans, and it also further drives home the reality of how much our lives are changing during this difficult time.
