Well, the announcement has finally arrived, at it’s about as underwhelming as many of us feared.
On Tuesday afternoon, the University of Oklahoma announced that Trace Adkins will perform before the 2018 Spring Game. If the plan was to attract a crowd of 80,000 and impress visiting recruits, this isn’t exactly a positive development on that front.
Toby Keith was a name that was thrown around, as he’ll already be in the area during the weekend for Friday’s Bob Stoops event being held in Oklahoma City. I’m not a fan of his by any stretch, but he at least would’ve moved the needle enough to attract a much larger crowd than usual.
