Oklahoma softball: Sooners win two, including a no-hit whitewash

After junior right-hander Mariah Lopez posted her ninth win of the season in a 12-1 OU victory over UC Santa Barbara, southpaw starter Giselle Juarez went one better, hurling a no-hitter over host Loyola Marymount for her 10th win of the season.

Lopez went 5 1/3 innings in game one, allowing just one hit and striking out a career-matching 13 batters. She was backed by a 10-hit performance by her Sooner teammates, including two hits each by leadoff hitter Jocelyn Alo and Nicole Mendes.

UCB jumped out in front with a single run in the first inning, but Lopez and reliever Parker Conrad shut down the Gauchos from that point forward.
