Behind pitching ace “G” Juarez, the Sooners posted their 26th shutout of the season, a 3-0 victory over Northwestern out of the Big Ten. The victory leaves No. 1 overall seed OU one win away from making their 13th appearance in the Women’s College World Series and fourth in as many years.
The left-handed throwing Jaurez allowed just two hits and struck out 11 Northwestern batters in going the distance for her 26th win of the season. It was the seventh shutout of the season and 12th complete game for the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year.
