OU's Acker named National Pitcher of the Week
Oklahoma junior Dane Acker was named Tuesday the National Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Acker, who also earned the same honor by Perfect Game and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, tossed the seventh no-hitter in OU history on Sunday in 1-0 victory over LSU in the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic in Houston. He struck out 11 batters and walked just one.
