Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray was sensational on Saturday against Texas, and his efforts could be rewarded with a Heisman Trophy.
Murray has jumped ahead in ESPN's Heisman straw poll, edging out Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa. Murray's excellent performance against Texas (379 yards and three scores) strongly contrasted Tagovailoa's shortcomings vs Georgia.
Murray has trailed Tagovailoa all year long, but now holds a very narrow lead, per 10 of ESPN's college football experts. Murray accounted for six first-place votes and for second-place votes. Tagovailoa was the reverse of that, garnering four first-place votes and six second-place votes.
