Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray has officially declared for the 2019 NFL draft.
He made the announcement via Twitter on Monday afternoon:
Murray’s decision comes after weeks of speculation that he could enter the draft, fulfill his baseball commitment to the Oakland A’s or even return to Norman for the 2019 college football season.
An important note: Murray did not announce he was severing ties with the A’s, who drafted him No. 9 overall in the 2018 MLB Draft last summer. He has been invited to spring training with the big league club and has been asked to report to Mesa, Ariz.
