Oklahoma QB competition is still very tight

The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to bounce back after a disappointing season last year. Their success will heavily depend on the type of play they get at the quarterback position.

According to College Spun, head Coach Bob Stoops made it known that there will be an open competition for who will take snaps under center come this fall. Most thought it would be former Texas Tech starter Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield sat out last season because of NCAA transfer rules, but was rumored to have already won the starting qb battle. Stoops addressed those rumors on Tuesday.
