For Oklahoma, the Sooners are trying to save face after a rock-bottom defensive performance two weeks ago at the Cotton Bowl. This will be OU’s first action since Lincoln Riley decided to fire ex-defensive coordinator Mike Stoops one day after a 48-45 loss to Texas. Interim Ruffin McNeill is running the show now, and whether or not he can fix the problems Stoops left behind will determine OU’s legitimacy as a contender in the Big 12.
