Led by Grant Hirschman’s two-under-par 68, the lowest score of the day, the Sooners shot a team score of one-over 281 in the third round of the 72-hole championship on Tuesday to take over the lead from second-round leader Iowa State, which finished with five-over 285 on Tuesday.
Three teams (Oklahoma, defending conference champion Texas and Baylor) finished with 18-hole scores of 281 in the third round at the par-70, 7,158-yard Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Hirschman is tied at the top of the individual leaderboard as well, with a 54-hole total of even-par 210 (75-67-68).
