Ancer, who played at Oklahoma from 2011-13, was tied for the third-round lead after shooting a career-low 62 on Saturday. He followed that with a final round of two-over-par 72, which tied Ancer with Tiger Woods with a 72-hole score of 11-under 269.
Ancer was tied with Francesco Molinari for the tournament lead after 54 holes on Saturday at the par-70 TPC Potomac course.
Molinari matched Ancer’s course-record Saturday round with an eight-under 62 of his own in Sunday’s final round to win the tournament, his first on the PGA Tour, by eight strokes over second-place Ryan Armour.
