Names from the past like Antonio Perkins (2001-04), Ryan Broyles (2008-11), Jarrail Jackson (1996-99) and Joe Washington (1972-75) come to mind.
Perkins may be the greatest of the Sooner punt returners. He actually earned consensus All-America honors as a punt return specialist.
He set an NCAA record with four punt returns for touchdowns in the 2003 season, three of which came in one game, a 59-24 blowout win over UCLA. His three return touchdowns and 277 punt return yards against UCLA were also NCAA records.
Perkins is the OU career leader in career punt return yardage with 1,445 and eight career touchdowns.
