Oklahoma football recruiting has picked up its third commitment this week with the addition of four-star wide receiver Ivan Carreon out of Odessa, Texas.
Carreon had been committed to Texas Tech since December 2022 but on Thursday of this week he announced on Twitter that he was decommitting and reopening his recruitment. It’s probably not a coincidence that the timing of this development came just days after the tall pass catcher from West Texas attended OU’s recent ChampU BBQ.
Carreon was also on the OU campus earlier for the Brent Venables Elite Camp, where he had the opportunity to impress Sooner coaches with his route running.
