Oklahoma football: Roy Williams elected to Cotton Bowl HOF

Williams, who played at Oklahoma from 1999 to 2001 and spent nine seasons in the National Football League, is one of six individuals elected to the 2018 Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame class.

The former Sooner safety will be inducted into the Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame as a member of its 11th HOF class, at a special ceremony on May 7 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

No. 9 on our list of Oklahoma top-10 NFL first-round draft selections, Williams played his final collegiate game in the Cotton Bowl, a 10-3 Sooner victory over Arkansas in the 2001 New Year’s Cotton Bowl Classic.
