Oklahoma football: Landry Jones, Bob Stoops reunite in XFL

Stoops, one of the most successful coaches in the history of the Oklahoma football program and Jones, owner of several passing records in Norman, are both assigned to the Dallas Renegades in the new league.

Jones was a four-year starter for the Sooners, throwing for 16,646 yards and 123 touchdowns during his time in Norman, all under Stoops’ guidance. In addition to two Big 12 Championships, he also led his team to a perfect 3-0 record as a starter against rival Texas.

He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
