Many in the Sooner Nation fervently believe Oklahoma’s defensive shortcomings in 2017 cost the Sooners a national title. While the offense was otherworldly, the defense was pedestrian, and many times just downright awful.
There’s no sense in reopening those wounds, but anyone who saw Georgia’s Sony Michel and Nick Chubb run roughshod over Mike Stoops’ defense can agree the performance was due south of putrid.
