Oklahoma football: Bob Stoops reportedly taking XFL coaching job

Dean Blevins of News 9 in Oklahoma City broke the story earlier today, which was then picked up by major news outlets all over the country.

Confirmed. The source who would know best confirms to me that Bob Stoops will become general manager and head coach of Dallas XFL franchise. More to come. @NEWS9 @newson6 #Sooners

Bob Stoops led the Sooners to a 190-48 record, 10 Big 12 Championships and one National Championship during his 18-year head coaching stint at Oklahoma. Bob Stoops surprised Sooner fans everywhere when he retired last summer just months before the start of the 2017 season, handing the reigns of the program over to Lincoln Riley.
